About us
We, the Leitgeb family, run the Jörgenhof

Your hosts
Anna, Daniel, Michael and Georg, we are the Leitgeb-Pfurtscheller family and your hosts at the Jörgenhof. In 2014 we took over the Jörgenhof from Daniel's great-grandmother and gradually converted and expanded it back into an active part-time farm. In 2022 we renovated the extension and so we can now also welcome guests.
Our philosophy

Maintain cultural landscape
What our ancestors wrested from nature with a lot of work and cultivated is now up to us to preserve. The cultivation of our grassland follows the annual cycle as it has for many generations. Due to the altitude, extensive management is not possible and so we only fertilize with the "dung" our animals produce.

We care for our animals
We have around 15 brown mountain sheep and three domestic pigs on our farm. Depending on the season, either in the stable, on the pastures around Telfes or in midsummer on the high mountain pastures near the Stubai Glacier. In this way, the animals have a species-appropriate husbandry and a healthy life.

Own production
Sheep meat, smoked sausages, bacon and bread in many variations, we produce all of this with a lot of love. Because you only know where the basic products come from if you make it yourself.
